Job Opening: Welcome Center Representative

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Welcome Center is looking for a great candidate with strong customer service skills to greet and assist visitors in the center. Develop and maintain working relationships with staff and provide information and tours of the building(s). Participate in special events to celebrate and encourage tourism.

Essential Functions:

• Provide exceptional customer service and information to visitors at the information desk. Provide assistance with literature, maps, directions, road conditions, mileage estimates, and travel advisories. Provide information about specific destinations, attractions, amenities, or activities.
• Schedule and conduct guided tours. Secure orientation space within the building, and schedule staff to conduct tours.
• Assist visitors in the lobby. Maintain knowledge of brochure content and placement.
• Maintain supplies of brochures in assigned display racks. Monitor inventories of backup brochures, log utilization of brochures and order replacement supplies.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with staff and state agencies.
• Participate in and plan education tours. Provide assistance as needed for set up and clean up and evaluation of the events.

• HS Diploma
• 2 years of equivalent work experience
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work a front-line counter
• Team player
• Be able to lift 20lbs
