Job Opening: Truck Driver & Warehouse Associate (Kahului)

Position: Truck Driver & Warehouse Associate (Permanent)
Location: Kahului, Maui

Schedule: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Must have full-time availability, including weekends
Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour depending on experience
Parking: On site, free parking

Job Duties:

• Responsible for safe vehicle operations, driving, and crew safety at all times for required island-wide pickup and drop-offs.
• Loads and unloads material from vehicle by using a hand truck or dolly. Responsible for safely operating the lift-gate when up-loading and down-loading cargo.
• Positions pads, stacks and secures items on truck to prevent damage to goods and positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Completes and maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Completes and maintains vehicle maintenance sheets by performing daily inspections of vehicle, equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Reports any unsafe conditions immediately to the department supervisor.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with dispatcher or lead person to receive delivery/collections instructions.
• Is knowledgeable and familiar with streets and locations on the island of Maui.
• Responsible for awareness of and adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License and 5 year clean driving abstract
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willing to obtain Forklift Certification and PUC Card through company provided certifications courses.
• Physical requirements including standing, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs.
