Janitor- 1st Shift

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at a manufacturing facility. The janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility, including production areas, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas. This position plays a key role in supporting the overall cleanliness and safety standards of the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production floors, hallways, break areas, and offices.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and restock supplies.
Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility and dispose of waste in designated containers.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners.
Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces including doorknobs, handrails, tables, and counters.
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and sanitizers as needed.
Clean and maintain employee breakrooms, including wiping down tables and kitchen surfaces.
Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisor of any needed repairs or supply restocking.
Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks as needed (e.g., floor waxing, deep cleaning).

Requirements:

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and mops.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout an 8-hour shift.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
