Location: Norway, Iowa – a short distance from the Cedar Rapids area

Pay: up to $16.50/hour based off shift

Hours: 1^stand 2^nd shift positions available

1^st – 7:30am-3:30pm Monday - Friday

2^nd – 3:30pm-11:30pm Monday - Friday  

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to work in all areas of production
• Work with raw materials and Neodymium magnets
• Complete tasks using computers and tablets
• Hand bagging and bottling product
• Case and palletize finished product for inventory
• Assist with material handling, bottling, packaging, labeling, and blending equipment
• Complete necessary documentation, including worksheets and computerized tracking systems
• Verify product and supplies are accurate
• Use assembly, packaging, and measuring tools
• Perform special packaging projects as scheduled
• Work with other departments to resolve problems as they arise 
• Sample product for quality control checks
• Inspect materials and supplies for defects and report defective materials to supervisor
• Follow safety, sanitation, production, quality and food safety procedures
• Work safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training
• Follow all good manufacturing practices - follow all safety rules including use of PPE

Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and reach for 8 hours
• Lift / move 10 – 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Preform basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Read, write, and follow written instructions and visual training aids
• Ability to complete tasks using computers and tablets
• Attention to detail and be able to train others in general manufacturing
• Work in a team environment and be flexible when production needs change
• Able to be exposed to airborne particles or strong fumes, notably fumes from alcohol

Machine Operator

Job Requirements:

• Set up and operate computer-controlled manufacturing equipment 
• Have good mechanical aptitude, the ability to learn quickly, and operate heavy industrial equipment
• Review schedules to determine work sequence and equipment checklists
• Understand and apply basic operating principles and techniques to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Pay strong attention to detail and be committed to promoting and maintaining workplace safety
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment if needed
• Previous forklift experience is a plus

Skill Requirements:

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

Immediate job openings for Window Production in the Cedar Rapids, IA area! Our client is a well-established replacement window manufacturer.

Associates working at this location will perform a variety of tasks in the manufacturing and finishing process to make energy efficient, custom-made replacement vinyl windows. 

These are long term temporary assignments but can be temp to hire for exceptional candidates!

Must be able to work 40+ hour week. This can include weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

Pay: $16.50/hour for 1^st shift and $18.00/hour for 2^nd shift

Shift Hours: 5AM - 5PM for 1^st shift and 5PM - 5AM for 2^nd shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Read, follow, and understand stand work, procedures and directions supplied for window order to meet customer requirements

• Sorting and cutting material for each window order

• Assembly and reassembly of window parts

• Lift product and move units on production carts

• Clean, wrap, and prep product for installation and shipping

•Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean workspace

This is a direct hire position! 3 + years of experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on all full range of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklift, heavy duty trucks, compressors, industrial machinery, etc.
• Have knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting, steering, and cooling/heating systems
• Track maintenance work and schedules for each of the vehicles
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, and power tools
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
